Who can get an ISIC card?

The ISIC card is available to students at school, college or university, aged 12 years and above. There is no upper age limit.

Is there an age limit?

You have to be at least 12 years old to apply for an ISIC card.

Some partners can include age restrictions in their offers.

What does it mean to be a ‘student’?
Being a student means that you take at least 15 hours of class a week for a minimum of five months a year.

If you are full-time teacher or aged under 31, you can also enjoy similar benefits to the ISIC card with the International Teachers Identity Card (ITIC) or the International Youth Identity Card (IYTC).

 

I am not a student. Can I still apply for an ISIC card?
If you aren’t a student but are aged between 16-30 years  the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) is the right card for you.

If you’re a full-time teacher or professor, you can apply for the International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC).

 

The IYTC and ITIC cards both offer similar benefits, services and savings to the ISIC card.

 

 

What is the validity of the ISIC card?

Your ISIC card is valid for one year, starting from the day of purchase. Expiration month is listed on the front side of the card.

 

How do I buy an ISIC card?

You can buy the ISIC card by clicking on buy ISIC and fill in your information, verifying your place of study and uploading a picture. 

 

I have bought an ISIC card. Where can I find it? 

Your ISIC card is a digital student ID and is accessible in the ISIC app. Download the app in Google Play or App Store and sign up with your name and ISIC cardnumber. 

 

Should I add a physical ISIC card?

If you haven't got a smartphone, it would be a good idea to add a physical ISIC card to your purchase, since you aren't able to download the ISIC app and access the digital ISIC studentcard. 

If you are going out to travel it could be an advantage to add a physical ISIC card.

 

Why do I need to upload a picture?

An ISIC card is an ID. Therefore it is important that you upload a passport like picture of yourself. 

 

Why do I need to verify my student status?

An ISIC card is only for students and therefore we ask you to verify that you are a student either through Wayf or by manually uploading documentation.

 

I can´t upload my picture and documentation - what do I do?

If you have any problems uploading your picture or documentation, please contact us.

 

I didn't verify my student status or uploaded a picture in the ordering process. What do I do?

If you didn't verify your student status or uploaded a picture while ordering your ISIC card, you will receive an email with a link for uploading. 

If you haven't yet received your the email, please check in your spam/unwanted inbox. If you can't find it there, please contact us.

 

I have added a physical ISIC card to my purchase, when will it be delivered.

Your physical ISIC card will be delivered to your home address within 14 working days after uploading photo and documentation. Please note, that if your name is not written the mailbox on your address, you need to fill in the C/O address in the buying flow.

 

I have added a physical ISIC card to my purchase, but I haven't received it yet. What do I do?

If you haven't received your ISIC student card with 14 days after acceptance, please contact us. We will get back to you within 24 hours (72 hours in weekends)

 

Something is wrong in my application (name, DOB, place of study, address etc.), what do I do?

After you have placed your order, you will receive an email with a link, where you have the opportunity to change your details before your final approval. 

NB: A fee of 50 DKK will be charged for customers making changes after final approval.

 

I have lost my physical ISIC card. Can I get a new one?

You can buy a replacement card for 50 DKK. Please contact us and inform us about the situation and we will hereafter send a payment link to you. You will receive your new ISIC card within 14 working days. 

 

I have a complaint, what to do?

In case of discrepancies or complaints concerning your purchase please do not hesitate to contact us. Should you for any reason not be satisfied with the outcome, ISIC is obliged to inform you that you may refer your case to The European Commission?s Online Dispute Resolution.

 

ISIC and Arriva WunderCard? 

As of 1th of March 2015 ISIC cards will no longer be issued with the Arriva WunderCard logo on the card. The national train discount will from this date and onwards no longer be available. 

NB: Cards issued before this date and including an Arriva WunderCard logo will still be able to achieve the train discounts until expiration date.
