Who can get an ISIC card?
The ISIC card is available to full-time students (SU-accepted) at school, college or university, aged 12 years and above. There is no upper age limit.
Is there an age limit?
You have to be at least 12 years old to get an ISIC card. There is no upper age limit, as long as you are a full-time student.
Some discount providers include age restrictions in their offers.
I am a graduate student. Can I get an ISIC?
Yes, as long as you are studying full time.
What do you mean by ‘full-time student’?
Being a full time student means that you take at least 15 hours of class a week for a minimum of five months a year.
If you are full-time teacher or aged under 26, you can also enjoy similar benefits to the ISIC card with the International Youth Identity Card (IYTC card) or the International Teachers Identity Card (ITIC).
I am not a student. Can I still enjoy ISIC’s benefits?
If you aren’t a student, but are under 26 years old, the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) is the right card for you.
If you’re a full-time teacher or professor, you can apply for the International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC). The IYTC and ITIC cards both offer similar benefits, services and savings to the ISIC card.
What is the validity of the ISIC card?
Your ISIC card is valid for one year, starting from the day of purchase. Expiration month is listed on the front side of the card.
Uploading pictures and student documentation can only be done succesfully on a pc or mac, not smartphones or tablets at the moment. If you encounter problems when uploading documents or pictures, please contact email@example.com and we will then help you with the process as quickly as possible.
We use WAYF to verify whether you can be classified as an active student or not, unfortunately not all schools are listed in the service yet. Thus, if you can´t find your place of study please choose "Other - Min skole er ikke på listen". When this is done you can press next and are then asked to manually upload student documentation.
Your ISIC card will be delivered to your home address within 14 working days after uploading photo and documentation.
Yes. When you purchase online you will receive one e-mail receipt for your payment and one e-mail with a link to upload photo and student documentation. Through this link in the e-mail you have to upload a passport like photo and student documentation within 14 days.
Please follow the guidelines for uploading photos. After succesfully uploading photos and student documentation our service center will within 24 hours (72 hours over the weekend) approve the photo and you will then immediately after recieve the temporary card.
Please check whether the e-mail could have been caught in your spam filter. If this is not the case please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, e-mail and order ID and the service center will hereafter assist you.
In case of you have not yet recieved your physical ISIC card you can print out the temporary card and use it on your journey.

In the e-mail with link for uploading picture and student documentation you have the opportunity to change your personal details before approving the final order.
NB: A fee of 50 DKK will be charged for customers making changes after final approval.
You can buy a replacement card for 50 DKK. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and inform us about the situation and we will hereafter send a payment link to you. You will receive your new ISIC card within 14 working days.
How do I use one of the online discounts?
In order to get access to all online discounts you need to log-in with your cardnumber in the upper right corner. When logged in go to one of the partner pages and you find the discount code or unique discount url-link on the benefit description page. When using discount codes remember to copy the code (ctrl + c) and then go to the external partner website and paste the code into the voucher/benefit code area when checking out.
I have a complaint, what to do?
In case of discrepancies or complaints concerning your purchase please do not hesitate to contact us. Should you for any reason not be satisfied with the outcome, ISIC is obliged to inform you that you may refer your case to The European Commission?s Online Dispute Resolution.
As of 1th of March 2015 ISIC cards will no longer be issued with the Arriva WunderCard logo on the card. The national train discount will from this date and onwards no longer be available.
NB: Cards issued before this date and including an Arriva WunderCard logo will still be able to achieve the train discounts until expiration date.
